Haha, who am I kidding. I don't know why I used to think after the surgery maybe things will change. Who am I kidding, I guess an ugly duckling will forever stay an ugly duckling. Ugly ducking turning into a swan, that's just a fairytale. Even if it does happen, that's only on the outside. Inside, you'll still feel like an ugly duckling. Insecure, hating yourself sometimes. Growing up, getting teased for being ugly, guess it sticks with you for life, no matter what. Thought it would all be over, it would all go away, but i guess not. Psychological scars, I wish I can remove them. Hate how words can hurt soo much. Should have just kept my bloody mouth shut just now.

Oh well. Guess it's just something I'm gonna struggle with my whole entire life. Good luck Ir.

Oh wow, it's been a long time. Sorry for neglecting you. *sad face*

Can't believe in 2 weeks time we're gonna be unofficially done with poly. (Officially, the ceremony would be sometime in late May I guess. Don't know why so late also.) Part of me wants to scream out loud and jump around the room! Another part of me is just soo soo scared of the future. I may have plans but nothing's set in stone yet. And I have yet to find a job. Thinking about it sends shivers down my spine each and every time!!

I think after my final submission on 8th Feb if I'm not going out with Suhaily, Siti & Halimah, I'm gonna go home and marathon One Piece all the way hehehehehe. So addicted. I love that show, I think it teaches a really important lesson to its' viewers. That no matter what life throws at you, no matter how many times it tries to get you down, just get back up and keep moving forward. No matter how sad your life may get, you can always find some good in it too, something to laugh at. And also the importance of friendship. <3 <3 <3 I don't really have a favorite character. I can't choose, I love them all! Hehe.

Sorry for the dead blog. The past few days were boring. Just go to work, eat, go back home and sleep. I can't refuse food at work, that's why I'm getting fatter and fatter ok. I'm suddenly stressing out about our FYI project cos we haven't got anything done yet. Okay let's worry about that tmrw. Oh, christmas party on wednesday night with the colleagues was a blast, had alott of fun!! Tried to stalk Stepmother on fb but I can't find her profile :( All the pictures with her! K nvm shall ask her next week! So yeah. Repeating this cycle for a few more weeks plus add in some days of doing project and then soon, it will be 2 more weeks of seeing the lovely kids. Loved being back at Ngee Ann. Missed all my classmates like maaaad! So good to see them all(well, almost) just now <3 The career fair exhibition thing was really beneficial to me. Though now I have a bigger headache, trying to decide which path to take. YES, AGAIN. I CHANGED MY MIND AGAIN WHAT'S NEW RIGHT! LOL. So now, it's
Degree in Psychology Vs Degree in Social Work.
Can't go the Geylang uni cos it's a top-up deg meaning only for people w a diploma in psych ONLY? Cos the modules are like advanced advanced blablabla kindathing. Saddd. Know what I very funny yknow. Not funny like hahaha. Funny like weird. Everytime anyone asks me what I wanna do aft I graduate, I say I wanna take private degree. Then they'll ask where. So I'll say at Geylang. Then they will have that confused face and ask what's the name of the uni. Then this is the best part. My answer would be : I don't know the name, ask Suhaily. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE.
Oops ter-sidetrack. K so anw.
The deg in psych is a part time one so I'm considering on working full time as an EIPIC teacher if I take that. Fri-Sun 7-10pm only leyy for 2 years okay whutt! Somemore it's at bugis/city hall ^^ But thennnnn. I don't know if I wanna be a therapist in the future!
As for the deg in social work, it sounds super interesting and one of my dreams when I was in sec sch actually. And you know what! The woman at the career fair told me this! "It's a common misconception that social workers get paid minimum wages/ not paid at all you know. Starting pay can get around 2k and it will increase with experience." Awesomez. Get paid more thn preschool teacher lol. If compare preschool teacher and EIPIC teacher I'd rather choose the latter. I don't know eh, think smaller ratio better and the work like more favourable to me? But I'll need to work on being less emotionally attached to cases. :/

SCAS EIPIC Recognition day!

Thought the concert went great, the kids' performance was simply amazing! Was so nervous for them but I think they were perfect to me :))) Like Teacher N said, we shouldn't underestimate them! Hahah they were really brilliant pls. Oh, my kids were the seven dwarfs in Snow White & the seven dwarfs. And as I'm typing this the 'Hai ho' song keeps replaying in my head rofl. I think the best part was the finale, almost brought tears to my eyes :') Seriously! When the kids started to sing 'The World is a Rainbow', I was like trying to hold back my tears! So so beautiful. <3 I could literally feel so much love and warmth in the room, really loved every second of it. I will never ever forget this day, the experiences gained, the friendships and bonds formed, everything. Ahh so proud of them all! <3

Sigh. This week's episode of Desperate Housewives makes me so sad. My heart like can break for Lynette, so poor thinggg :( She & Tom have been married for like 20-30plus years eh? And been through so much together, like when she got cancer in I-forgot-which season. How can after all those times, they separate?! He shouldn't say that they don't make each other happy anymore, hence the reason they separate. I think it's more like she doesn't make him happy anymore, and now he's happier with Jane.

Yala, I know it's just a fictional show, but it could easily happen to anyone in real life. After having gone through so much with your loved one, you have to let him go and watch him be happy with someone else. You have to accept the fact that he's not happy being with you, but he can be with someone else. That everything you've built over soo many years can crumble to bits just like that. I can't imagine how that would feel like. I don't want to.

Weds gonna be the last day of classes :( Cos Friday I only have one session in the morning, doesn't count lah sigh. Super duper sad pls. Gave some of my boys the toy cars alr and I think they really love it, yay! :D

One of my boys having surgery today, minor one I think but stillll. Sigh. I think kids with Down Syndrome are really brave, they have to go through so much at such a young age. Most of them have scars on their chests, cos they would usually have problems with their heart like hole in the heart? , and have to go through some other surgery involving ears or water retention somewhere or something. Can't imagine how life's like for one of my other boys, he had Leukemia on top of that as well. My poor cutiepiessss :(((

Had an interesting convo with some teachers the other day, regarding haircuts. Didn't really cross my mind that some of the kids can't go to barber shops as they'd scream their heads off during the process of getting a haircut. So their parents had to cut their hair while they're sleeping, so cute. Another example of how simple daily things for us that we usually take for granted can be so hard for them. Really grateful for this internship, I learnt alottt. Not just in terms of disabilities and the different variations of it but also in terms of like values and stuff. <3

I guess, everyone deserves to be happy. But sadly, some may be presented with obstacles and other bad stuff in their life that prevents them from being happy. Or maybe it's the way you look at your life? It's either you focus on the sad part and be depressed/angsty etcetc, or you just focus on the good stuff, and pray that everything else will just somehow fall into place.

Dear Allah, please please bless the kids at my centre, please lessen the load for their families, financially and emotionally. I hope they're happy wherever they are. Okayla not just my centre kids, kids all over the world, especially those less fortunate and not born sempurna <3

I don't really pray much for myself, I just hope you will bless my loved ones with good health, happiness and iman and many other rewards which only You can bestow. Amin.

Had a hard time deciding whether or not I should go for intern this morning. In the end I just decided to stay home. Cannot take it my joints aching like mad! That's the number one thing I hate about having fever, confirm plus chop would ache like nobody's business. Everywhere! And sometimes my face will get very itchy and red and swollen. Lucky today never.

Anyhoo. I'm loving attachment! Love the kids to bits! So much that I'm considering taking a parttime degree after graduation and at the same time, continue working there! Hehe. Spent my weekends with baby <3<3<3 Fetched him from camp on Saturday morning & spent some time w his family <3<3 before heading to town. Caught Johnny English Reborn, I thought it was funnyyy! Sunday was slack, had brunch at west coast. Then he had to go back to camp :(( 6 more days. You're right baby, we're strong, we'll get used to this :) Wonderful way to end my sem break.

To be honest I'm not really looking forward to this internship. It's gonna be sooo different. Maybe the things they expect us to do (wipe vomit, change diapers, think about activities to do w the kids etc) may be the same, but we're gonna be handling different type of kids. And I've never had such an experience before. Maybe it would be a refreshing change, but the main thing is, I'm scared I can't live up to their expectations, I think the previous batch that interned there set the bar pretty high, judging from the way the field sup talked about them during the pre intern visit.

But most of all, I'm scared after we're done with this, I find myself not really wanting to be in this line. Not really liking what we have to do to continue being in this field of work. Then what the hell am I supposed to do? Where am I supposed to go from here? After poly, life is just one big question mark. All along, we've been so called sheltered. I feel safe, like there's an imaginary hand guiding me from kindergarten, to primary school, to secondary school. Our life has been pretty much mapped out for us. And the decision about going to poly or jc is not that big, compared to now. Local uni? Overseas? Private? So many things to consider, the one main thing would definitely be the cost. Everything's so darn expensive it's giving me a headache just thinking about it. And I can't not think about it, cos it's really nearing as each day pass by.

I think I've wrote about this before. But ohwells it's just been bugging me. I really envy my friends who've pretty much decided on what they want to do. I wish I was as decisive and firm as them. But I'm not. I keep saying one thing and then change my mind the next. Don;t know how many times I've changed my mind about what I wanna do after this. Like, everytime someone ask me what I'm gonna do after poly I have a different answer for them -.- I really don't know!!!

Haiya make me more stressed only. Gosh look at the time, it's 2.47am already! Faster leyyy. 5 more minutes! Really hope I can sleep after I go offline in a little while :/ My eyebags are unbelievable, like seriously.

Idk la, I just don't really feel like going out much. It's like, I'd feel guilty if I go out & have fun? So the past few days I only go out cos of work. If not for work, I'd be at home lazing in bed all day and get fatter. Always say wanna run but it never happened -.-

Just now I laughed like mad, which hasn't happened in a really long time. Cos of flash ah. She go do big business in th toilet, thn go to living room, and like a penguin, she waddled on th long chair while wiping her butt. At first I thought she was like losing her balance, but she continued doing so for quite a while. My bro saw it too then after she stopped doing it we started rofl ing like mad. Then I asked my mum to come see th chair got one lineee. And then at the floor got one teeny ball of shit -.- THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST PART WTH. Flash damn disgusting right?! HAHAHA. But after that I go wipe all th chair lah duh. Can't possibly leave it like that gross max!!! Wished I'd caught it on video or something. Think that was a once in a lifetime moment lolol.

But that was just now....

Sigh sigh sigh. Why can't I stay happy?

Kinda ironic how I always tell ppl to smile and don't be sad and yet I can't heed my own advice.

I know right. Does that make me a hypocrite? Hmm.

I don't even know what I'm feeling right now, that's the best part.

Was just stoning in th train just now, on the way home from work. And I suddenly found myself thinking about the past. The first time I saw you, that time we fought and I purposely hid at the staircase and made you worried like hell, you cooking for me instead of the other way round, and all the other happy and sad moments that happened at raffles hospital. I just can't imagine leaving that place, I've really grown too attached to it. To the place more than the people, because so many have come and gone. Never thought I would stay this long, it's just a part time job afterall. Sheesh why am I getting sentimental at this time of night/morning? :/

Day 4.

The one left behind feels more pain. Or something like that. Can't believe it's only been 4 days. Whaaat?! I think the calendar is playing tricks on me.

Spent my weekends working in th morning & forced to jalan raye in th afternoons. Work was fun surprisingly! Saturday with Stepmother & Sally was funnyy, Sally keep teasing me & making me blush aha then she asked me , your pimples like decreased already! What you do? My reply : I put makeup. Concealer lolol. Then she & Stepmother like stand there speechless hahahahaha their reaction likka funny. Then Sunday w the guys, somehow they like extra talkative lolol. I wonder if Hasry really used that 'someone-played-with-my-watch-and-made-the-time-one-hour-late' excuse today & purposely come late? Nyahha!

On saturday night, we came back from neighbour's house and wanted to go to an aunt's house, and when we all stepped out of the house, my mum was last to come out, she realised that nobody had th house keys. And my gate is spoilt such that we need the key to open it. So we were all locked outside the house. And so the blaming game started -.- Which was like the only thing they knew. BLAME US. Ya blablabla then in the end wanna know what my dad did? He took his saw (gergaji is saw kan? Rofl.) then sawed through the gate grills & my bro crawled through. Awesome much lolol. The End.

My neighbour all came and then kecohkecoh outside the house, then one of my neighbour's son passed by us thn my neighbour asked me "did he smile at you?" I said no cos really, I never saw that guy smile before lol. So she said hmm but I think he like got stare thn he suke! Which made me go o.0 Thn she say kpak bing bing kpak bing bing! and dance dance which made my sister laugh like mad. Jalan raye-ed all over Singapore today! Nyahha first stop was my house at Pasir ris, followed by Halimah's at Serangoon where we ate curry mmm yumyum super pekat and spicy and naaaise heehee and then Jurong! Had Starbuck's Chamomile tea at Siti's house heehee with honey! Nice! And ate potatoo and scrambled egg! Then off to the last house, Suhaily's , where we.... ate somemore. Hahahaha! Fried chicken and kway teow goreng! Aiyoyo gained another 10kg lor today. Somemore, eat until so lateee. Hahahaha tsktsk! Had a nice time though <3 But we didn't take any picturees :( Totally forgot man!~

And the thing that really made my night was when me & Halimah was waiting for the train at Pioneer, and Iwann texted! Whooppp I almost shrieked. Hahaha *hides face* Suddenly I became so happy like :DDD hahaaa had a short phonecall after that <3 I guess we just need to get used to this. We'll be okay :)
